BEST FUNdraiser at Indian Hill

On May 17, 2019, the B.E.S.T. Team conducted a fundraiser at Indian Hill High School after school. It was a fun-filled afternoon for a great cause – raising a total of $760 to improve oral care for children in rural China. There was some delicious food: cupcakes, bagels, brownies, chocolates, Crush, cookies with some great music playing in the background! We had the B.E.S.T. board of directors out there in the action.

The IH Frisbee team also came out with their coach and got some great games of frisbee going with some of the HS teachers: Mr. Debbink, Mr. Kirk, Mr. Broxterman, Mrs. Smith, Mr. Millard, and of course Mr. Damadeo, Mr. Hayes and Dr. Miles! All of who played with great fire in their runs, throws and plays. The teachers vs. students game was truly intense and fun, with both sides making impressive runs and daring dashes to the other side. The teachers ended up winning at the end of the afternoon!

We also had a lot of other students show up to just have a good time in the beautiful sun with their friends on this Friday afternoon, sitting on the side of the hill chatting, eating, or throwing a ball.

The former Senior Vice President of PNG in Global Innovation, Dr. Shekhar Mitra, also visited us to say a few words of encouragement and to check out the awesome fundraiser going on with lots of vibrant energy from everyone! And we are very delighted to say that he was happy with our efforts in this endeavor.

And lastly, a HUGE thanks to all of our sponsors for making this event possible, from donations of gift cards, food and funds, this couldn’t have possibly happened without you! We certainly look forward to seeing you again in the near future!
