Traditions at Camargo
December 15, 2022
Holiday season is coming! Before the end of the final week, BEST members got together to write holiday cards for seniors in Traditions at Camargo. We packed 24 gift bags of chocolates and toothpastes, and delivered our best wishes to the seniors for a healthy and happy holiday season! Camargo offers Independent Living as well as Assisted Living and Memory Care. We are glad we could add a bit of sweetness and care to the senior community.
Holmes Elementary School

BEST continued their mission during Thanksgiving break. This time we brought not only tooth brushing model and oral care kits, but also two eggs soaked in Coke to demonstrate the protection effect of toothpaste. Many thanks to the teachers in Holmes Elementary School for giving us this opportunity to work with their students. We were impressed by the curiosity, attention, and cheerfulness of the young minds. What a wonderful way to start the holiday season! We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
Oral Health and Whole Body Health

The first joint event with EMBRACE to serve seniors was very memorable. Dr. Tao He, Principal Clinical Scientist from Procter and Gamble, gave an informative talk on the importance of oral health to whole body health, and the proper use of oral hygiene products. This day was also Grandpa Ren's 83rd birthday! We gave him a surprise celebration with gifts and a Happy Birthday song by 50 seniors and volunteers in the room. The BEST and EMBRACE team members baked cookies, cakes, bread, and cooked bean curd rolls. Two full baskets of fresh-cut flowers from the garden also brought so much joy to our seniors! Watch video

Kenwood Baptist Church

Thank you Melody Hamilton and Pastor David Palmer for inviting us to the Wednesday Nights Together at Kenwood Baptist Church. We had a wonderful time teaching young children about the importance of our teeth and how we can protect them properly. It was a great interactive experience to demonstrate teeth brushing techniques and having interesting conversations.

Fighting COVID with Mask Donation
May 9, 2020
BEST donated 500 masks to Kenwood and St. Theresa nursing homes. Recent data revealed 1/3 of virus deaths in America are nursing home residents and workers. Families of nursing home residents have been meeting each other through windows or drive throughs. These masks will allow families to finally see their loved ones.
BEST also donated 200 masks to Red Bank Walmart and the Kroger Marketplace. We hope our resources were able to help these workers who are serving our community during this time.

We donated 200 masks (100 each) to our Indian Hill Rangers and Madeira Kroger employees today! We hope our essentials can continue to stay safe while serving our community. We are extremely grateful and hope that our donations can help many families.

BEST delivered 300 masks to Mercy West hospital to aid the fight against the Coronavirus. Cindy, a nurse at Mercy, expressed her heartfelt gratitude: “These masks will be incredibly helpful, and we will give them to our nurses for their work in the ICU but also for when they go to the grocery store. This ensures that they keep themselves safe and also that they can return to the hospital and keep our patients safe as well.”

300 level 2 and level 3 masks were donated to the Good Samaritan today! As all hospitals local to our community are in urgent need of basic medical supplies, we will try our BEST to help our frontline workers who are at risk everyday.
Another 300 masks were donated to Cincinnati VA hospital! We hope the best for our medical workers

BEST fundraised and donated a total of 1450 N95 masks and 20 medically professional sanitizers to the Central Wuhan hospital, the biggest hospital in Wuhan. In fact, not only 300 professionals were already infected there, this was also the hospital where Dr. Li Wenliang, a whistle-blower who recently passed away after warning others of a possible outbreak of coronavirus, worked. Corona is now a global pandemic and we aspire to continue to assist those who are risking their lives in the front line.
Workshop at Midway School

In October 2019, BEST started its first-ever class in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. As their first class in the United States, BEST underwent many changes to adapt to US schools and students. However, they were overwhelmed by the love and excitement the children demonstrated.
Sino-Dental Conference
June 11, 2019
The Sino-Dental Conference received more than 100 thousand attendees from over 40 countries. BEST members were proud and excited to spread our mission and gain more support. Thank you to Chinese Oral Health Foundation for donating 4,000 sets of toothbrushes and toothpaste for us to teach children in the next few days.
Frisbee Fundraising

BEST raised nearly $600 at the district wide frisbee fundraiser for supplies in our trip to China this summer. We received numerous sponsorships from First Watch, Bruegger’s Bagels, La Gracia’s, Gigi’s cupcakes, and more to make this event happen. We appreciate everyone who donated to further our mission in China this summer.

Westwood Academy

BEST conducted a workshop at Westwood Academy to teach approximately 100 first and second grade students the importance of oral hygiene and how they can protect their teeth. Our workshop received good responses and we would love to see them again soon!
Moon Fest Fundraising

BEST team fundraised money at the Chinese Moon Festival through face painting and selling T shirts! This money will be used to fund future programs.
Guizhou
November, 2017
Diana Yue and her sister Sarah Yue went to Dawa Elementary School in Guizhou, China. They interacted with 336 Kids and distributed 336 toothbrushes/toothpastes. This trip marked BEST's official collaboration with Yi Angel, the biggest Chinese nonprofit focusing on promoting activism. It was also their first time teaching oral health beyond their mother's hometown.
